Over 1 million Tegra 2 for the 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab
The giant Samsung ordered from Nvidia from 1 to 1.5 million Tegra 2 processors for use in its new 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab as digitimes reported.
The sources pointed out that although Samsung's first tablet PC, the Galaxy Tab, did not achieve the company's targeted sales of two million units, Samsung, with advantages in both the telecom and retail channels, is still confident with its upcoming Galaxy Tab 10.1, which is set to launch in April
Samsung seems to be in a race with the time as it won't be available in sufficient numbers of its own dual-core ARM to meet Galaxy Tab shipment schedules and may be that's why the company turn into Nvidia's new Tegra 2 which also use new mobile shader technology compared to the dual-core ARM .
