Release date and what's new in the new Cougar Point (P67/H67) ?
After the famous design flaw in the 6 series chipsets that applied to the SATA 3Gbps controller , Intel just announced that the new version of the Cougar Point (P67/H67) chipset is now ready to start shipping to the OEM the 14 February , the new chip will has a B3 stepping and BIOS Updated to Revision 1.1.4.
List of affected product with the SATA 3Gbps design flaw are :B65, C202, C204, C206, H61, H67, HM67, HM65, P67, Q65, Q67, QM67, QS67, UM67 and Z68!

Cougar Point (P67/H67) changes and features :
- New S-specs and MM numbers for the converting products
- Revision ID will change from 04h to 05h
- BIOS Update (Revision 1.1.4 of the BIOS Specification Update and Reference Code)
- B3 stepping package is pin compatible with B2 stepping package
- Minor metal layer change from B2 to B3 improving lifetime wear out with no changes to functionality or design specifications
