Intel 10 cores CPUs prices and specifications revealed

Intel showed up new series of it's Xeon processors with 10 cores and 20 threads using 32nm processing technology and running at a speed up to 2.4Ghz and including a huge cache memory can acheave 30MB of L3 , all that require a 105 or a 130W TDP supporting the FC-LGA8 (LGA 771) socket ,all of the processors are 20 threads work.

The price tag for the new processors are  $2,558 for the cheapest one,E7-2850 model ,and a lot of  $4,616 for the R7-8870 model which run at 2.4Ghz.

 

Intel competes in the server chip market with Advanced Micro Devices, which in the third quarter will start shipping a 16-core Opteron processor code-named Interlagos, which is based on the new Bulldozer architecture.
The 10-core Xeon chip is made using the 32-nanometer manufacturing process, an improvement from the Nehalem-EX chip, which is made using the 45-nm process. The chip is based on the Westmere architecture, which is a manufacturing refresh of the older but oh so successful Nehalem micro architecture.
