Radeon HD 7970 OC to 1.7Ghz and Benchmark results
Another news about the Radeon HD 7970, this one is about someone who managed to pass the limit and set the GPU frequency of the yet released HD 7970 up to a whooping 1.7Ghz and the memory clock to 8Ghz !
The guy also completed a benchmark and publish the results, at MyDrivers community, he achieved that result with a volt mood and some LN2 liquid nitrogen cooling solution and set the clock speed to 1700 MHz core of the Radeon 7970, and 2000 MHz -- (8.00 GHz effective datarate) GDDR5 memory speed with no problems.
The results are impressive with P15063 in 3DMark 2011 and P54725 in 3DMark Vantage, check out the snaps bellow:
