Core i7-3970X release date

Intel will soon release it's fastest processor on the Core family, the Core i7-3970X Extreme is based on the 32 nm "Sandy Bridge-E" silicon chip, clocked at 3.50GHz and can goes up to 4.0Ghz on turbo mode, the Intel Core i7-3970X will pack 15MB of L3 memory cache.

Core i7-3970X processor is a six-core chip featuring HT technology (HyperThreading) meaning up to twelve threads, LGA2011 package motherboard is required and 130W TDP just like the Core i7-3960X, price is expected to be slightly higher than the i7-3960X.
