Windows 8 official release date detailed

Today Steven Sinofsky the President of the Windows and Windows Live Division at Microsoft since July 2009 announced at Microsoft’s annual sales meeting the release date of next generation OS, Microsoft Windows 8 to the public is an upgrade form or a new copy, set to the next October 26th.

Minimum hardware system requirements for Windows 8 Release Preview:

Architecture	x86 (32-bit)	x86-64 (64-bit)
Processor	1 GHz (with PAE, NX and SSE2 support)
Memory (RAM)	1 GB	2 GB
Graphics Card	DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
Storage	16 GB space	20 GB space
