DELL Inspiron N5050 Wifi driver Windows 7 (Atheros AR9285)

Another One Bites the Dust, okay here is another laptop driver tutorial for all you stuck on searching for your Wifi driver for the DELL Inspiron N5050 laptop which feature an Intel based hardware, here you will find the solution and working driver.

As usual the DELL support website will provide you when you try to search for your Inspiron laptop wifi driver with more than seven wifi drivers from all brands with a total size of more than 1GB to download and test for what, for just a Wifi device, and as I remember there is no Atheros one there ! isn't that crazy?

So here is the correct working driver for your laptop, just one file to download, please note that This driver is aimed for DELL inspiron N5050 with Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter Hardware ID "PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002B&REV_01", the tested driver is tested and working fine on Windows 7 32-bit OS, so check your hardware ID first.

Note that this driver also work for Inspiron N5030, inspiron M5040, Vostro 1550 and Vostro 1540 laptops.

How to install the driver:
1.Download and run the R304912.exe. 
2.Extract the driver to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R304912, Write down this path so the executable (I.e. Setup.exe) file can be found later. 
3.Click OK. 
4.After completing if the installation process didn't start automatically: 
5.Click the Start button and then click Run. 
6.Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R304912 in the Open textbox and then click OK. 
7.Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
* You can also install the driver manually from the device manager and search for the driver on C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R304912 folder.



Update, Driver2: I just want to update this post with another DELL Inspiron Wifi device driver with Hardware ID "PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_02091028&REV_01", so if your device similar to that ID just install this driver.
