Core i7-3970X EE first appearance and price

The Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition processor, a high end performance flagship processor from the blue intelligence chip creator Intel is recently spotted at a Singaporean store, the price tag there is around US $1,167.

Specifications of this beast code named "Sandy Bridge-E" are, six physical cores built using 32nm process technology all running at clock speed 3.50Ghz and can goes up to 4.0Ghz at Turbo Boost, with the HyperThreading technology this CPU can handle up to twelve threads at the same time, the cache memory is 256 KB for the L2 (per core), 15 MB shared L3 cache, with a quad channel DDR3 integrated memory controller, the TDP is 150W, bellow leaked pictures of the product courtesy of mydrivers.com.
