Virtual Headset for the Playstation 4, pictures and release date

After four months from the PS4 big presentation, Sony introduced an interesting device for the next Playstation 4, a Virtual Headset promising a new generation of gaming experience on the next years.

The headset require the Playstation Eye camera to an accurate moves tracking, a prototype of the device is presented for developer and press, the release date of the Virtual Headset expected on fall 2014.

"I believe that VR will have a huge impact in the coming years, but everyone working today is a pioneer," said Carmack at the time. "The paradigms that everyone will take for granted in the future are being figured out today; probably by people reading this message. It's certainly not there yet. There is a lot more work to do, and there are problems we don't even know about that will need to be solved, but I am eager to work on them." id Software founder John Carmack
