Core i7 6700k Vs i7-5820K Vs i7-4790K first benchmark leaks and specifications comparison

Today I want to share with you some new leaks about the all new next generation Intel's desktop processor, the 6th generation of core series code named Skylake-S built using 14nm process technology, a "tock" step in the "tick-tock" intel"s release cycle strategy the Skylake-S will support LGA 1151 socket and DDR4 controller.


The new 6th generation will require intel's Sunrise Point based X170 mobo, also to support DirectX 12 coming with Windows 10 later this year, a PCI Express V4.0 is supported and a 512 bit FPU width will make this chip special, with only 14nm process size users can push the Skylake-S to an unknown limits.

According to the leaked benchmark from pcfrm.com, the difference is 15% compared to the previous generation when considering the clock speed difference, so if you are a good overclocker with a good cooling system you can push it and get an outstanding result !
